Rain Rain Go Away!

Well its our second day in Grand Teton National Park and all it has been doing is raining. The one good thing that has come is a well deserved and much needed shower (its been about 4 or 5 days). Tomorrow is supposed to be nice and we are going to try for a hike up the mountains a bit but who knows. Its also not looking too good for Yellowstone either. Thats our next stop and i know I cannot take another day inside a tent because thats how the last two days have been. Everyone PLEASE keep your fingers crossed for clear skys ahead. It would be greatly appreciated.

Meanwhile in South Dakota...

Chicago was an absolute blast, our hosts couldn't have been better and we would like to thank them again for having us. The three necessary Chicago food groups (Italian Beef, Chicago Dogs, and Deep Dish Pizza) were all delicious. We took in some awesome Blues at one of Chicago's best blues clubs. Lake Michigan, despite an E. Coli outbreak (how a whole lake gets E. Coli is beyond me) was beautiful as was the rest of the city.
We left Chicago at 9:30 PM arriving at Black Hills National Forest at about 11:30 AM Mountain Time. We have the tent set up and are ready to see what South Dakota has to offer!

Alas! We have arrived in the "Windy City" though it's been quite calm so far. Greg says it's the perfect day for a white T, as we get ready to head downtown and play tourist for a day. Overall the drive here was not bad except for the fact that western PA, Ohio and Indiana are flat and extremely boring. Nonetheless, we split up the driving and it made it go by quickly. You'll be hearing from us again sometime later tomorrow before we leave to drive through the night to Mount Rushmore!

Cheers,
Brian, (Greg & Dave)

And it begins

Well folks we are currently on our way. The car is in tip top shape and packed, we have plenty of junk food, and knock on wood we didn't forget anything. I just want to take this moment to thank everyone who has helped us make this trip. To our parents who have aided us with supplies and finances. To our friends for supporting our ventures. And to those who have given us pointers about what to do and where to go. All in all I have a very positive feeling about this trip and I'm sure everything is going to work out. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers and of course follow all of the happenings right here on BrianDaveAndGreg.
